RUFUS Is Real

A RUFUS Reading Room Article - 296 words

So is RUFUS real?  Of course!  That's his picture, right above this text.

Let's further refer to a question and answer, in 1897, between an 8-year old girl named Virginia O'Hanlon and the editor of the New York Sun Newspaper, when she asked the paper if Santa Claus really existed.  That editor, Francis Church, responded in the paper with a column that has now been repeated innumerable times through the decades. Here is a link to the original question by Virginia and Francis Church's response:  Library of Congress Research Guides

So, in homage to that wonderful reply to young Virginia, let us humbly allude to the sentiment and style of Mr. Church's eloquent answer. . . . .

Yes, there is a RUFUS. He exists as surely as devotion, love and friendship exist between ourselves and our Best Friends Forever - those 4-legged companions with which we happily share our lives.

Rufus is a composite character of real-life BFFs we have loved (and still do!) named, Ally, Ruby, Serene, Greta, and Penny.  Vislas and Weimaraners, all.  They all were, and are, of very similar temperaments, personalities and characters:  loving, charismatic and protective, along with their silly and goofy moments, which has generated so much laughter and love in so many people who hold them as not only BFFs, but family as well.

The current titular incarnation of Rufus is comprised of Ruby and Greta, a Visla and a Weimaraner, respectively.  They, along with their predecessors, ARE RUFUS , and we look to them to initially inspect and approve our Beast Treats before they are then further approved by hundreds of their own furry friends.  We rely on this crowd of Beast Treat connoisseurs to be our guiding lights for inclusion of products in the Rufus BFF Beast Treat line.
